### [CVE-2021-23985](https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2021-23985) ![](https://img.shields.io/static/v1?label=Product&message=Firefox&color=blue) ![](https://img.shields.io/static/v1?label=Version&message=unspecified%20&color=brightgreen) ![](https://img.shields.io/static/v1?label=Vulnerability&message=Devtools%20remote%20debugging%20feature%20could%20have%20been%20enabled%20without%20indication%20to%20the%20user&color=brightgreen) ### Description If an attacker is able to alter specific about:config values (for example malware running on the user's computer), the Devtools remote debugging feature could have been enabled in a way that was unnoticable to the user. This would have allowed a remote attacker (able to make a direct network connection to the victim) to monitor the user's browsing activity and (plaintext) network traffic. This was addressed by providing a visual cue when Devtools has an open network socket. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 87. ### POC #### Reference No PoCs from references. #### Github - https://github.com/n0-traces/cve_monitor
