# Hugging Face Space metadata

The canonical Space card values live in `space-metadata.yml`. They belong in
the YAML front matter at the top of the Hugging Face Space repository's root
`README.md`.

The GitHub repository README deliberately excludes that front matter because
GitHub renders it as a metadata table above the project introduction. When
publishing a Space, wrap `space-metadata.yml` in `---` delimiters and prepend it
to the README copied into the Space repository.
