* docs: sync to Claude Code v2.1.235
Syncs the tutorial repo from v2.1.233 to v2.1.235, fixes a fabricated
plugin-command reference and a wrong lesson-quiz answer, closes translation
fan-out gaps, and documents six new features from v2.1.234/v2.1.235.
* docs(slash-commands): scope v2.1.234 dialog-command claims to the fullscreen TUI
The v2.1.234 changelog carries two separate entries: /permissions opening
mid-turn unconditionally, and the /add-dir, /autocompact, /theme, /help,
/config and /advisor dialogs opening mid-turn in the fullscreen TUI. The
sync flattened both into one unqualified bullet, so a reader on the default
renderer would find the described behavior absent.
Also corrects the CATALOG usage-limit auto-continue row, which described an
on-by-default feature as opt-in ("Enable via /config"); the changelog says
"turn it off in /config".
* docs(advanced-features): correct spellcheck value shape, default, and scope
settings.md documents `spellcheck` as object-valued
(`{"enabled": true, "language": "en_GB"}`) and read from user settings, the
--settings flag, and managed settings only; interactive-mode.md adds that it
is off by default and needs aspell, hunspell, or ispell on PATH. CATALOG told
readers to set a bare `"spellcheck": true`, and both settings tables sit under
preambles promising project-scope settings work, which for this key they do
not.
Also repoints CATALOG's hook-configuration example at pre-tool-check.sh; the
table rename left the example on validate-bash.py, which is not in 06-hooks/.
* docs(plugins): drop the unsupported claim that /plugin update does not exist
The sync asserted "Updating is CLI-only — there is no `/plugin update` slash
command". The plugins reference contradicts that: it refers to running
`/plugin update` twice in present tense (the cache-key section, and the
explicit-version row that says `/plugin update` reports "already at the
latest version"). The v2.1.235 binary carries no `/plugin update` string and
its own update notices point at `claude plugin update <name>` in a terminal,
so the sources conflict and neither absolute is safe to teach.
Recommends the CLI form on its documented merits instead of asserting a
negative. Mirrored to vi/ja/zh/uk and to the lesson-quiz Q8 explanation,
which taught the same false negative. Q8's correct answer is unchanged.
* docs(advanced-features): complete the v2.1.234 env-var fan-out and 04 TOC (#175)
The env-var block was still headed (v2.1.221-v2.1.233) and omitted both
variables v2.1.234 added: CLAUDE_CODE_PROJECT_DIR_NAME, which had reached
only 10-cli and CATALOG, and CLAUDE_CODE_GOAL_CHECKIN_MINUTES, which was in
prose and a CATALOG row but no env-var table.
Also adds the one missing 04-subagents TOC entry: Additional Resources was
the only H2 without one, leaving the reconciled TOC at 26 of 27 sections.
Internal accuracy pass against v2.1.220 — no missing upstream features, but broken example code, disagreeing counts, and metadata drift.
Functional fixes: pre-commit.sh now exits 2 so it actually blocks; dependency-check.sh reads file_path from stdin JSON instead of $1; database-mcp.json uses ${DATABASE_URL}; broken fences repaired; three command templates had invalid skill names.
Factual corrections: /fork and /subtask unswapped and /subtask added; /fewer-permission-prompts; permissions.defaultMode; dontAsk/auto unreversed; 31 hook events verified name-by-name; subagent depth 3; skill precedence enterprise > project > personal; /output-style removed not deprecated; permissionDecision gained defer.
Follow-up review fixed defects the pass left behind: zh/vi headers claiming 31 events above 25-name lists, a surviving hardcoded DB credential in the MCP README examples, an unbalanced fence swallowing a metadata footer, and non-canonical tool names. All four translated CATALOG summary tables were recounted so their arithmetic holds.
Full detail in CHANGELOG.md under v2.1.220-r2.
Bumps tutorial coverage from the v2.1.217 baseline (2026-07-22 sync) to
v2.1.220 — three contiguous releases (v2.1.218–v2.1.220).
Critical fixes:
- Nested subagent spawning is on by default again at depth 3 (v2.1.219).
Five locations across 04-subagents, CATALOG, 10-cli and QUICK_REFERENCE
stated it was disabled by default — true for v2.1.217–v2.1.218 only.
CLAUDE_CODE_MAX_SUBAGENT_SPAWN_DEPTH=1 now disables rather than enables.
All five carry an identical three-era history note.
- Claude Opus 5 is the default Opus model (v2.1.219). 10-cli asserted
"Opus 4.8 remains the default"; Opus 5 was absent from every model table.
Added to both model tables, 19 Compatible Models footers, and ~20
effort-level enumerations.
Also fixed: fast-mode model list, auto-mode eligibility self-contradiction
in 09-advanced-features, stale CLAUDE_CODE_ENABLE_AUTO_MODE opt-in in
CATALOG, hook-event count disagreement (29/30 -> 31 across three files),
doc-generator skill name/directory mismatch, stale "May 2026" headings,
and the last three docs.anthropic.com links.
Added: DirectoryAdded hook, /deep-research explicit-invocation note,
/code-review background subagent, context:fork background default, agent
frontmatter hook workspace trust, dynamic workflow size guideline and
workflowSizeGuideline key, sandbox.network.strictAllowlist, MCP error
surfacing, stream-json nested subagent forwarding, frontmatter boolean
values, agent name ':' rejection, auto/plan-mode classifier changes, and
Opus 5 safety-classifier fallback.
Renamed the deep-research skill example to topic-research to stop it
shadowing the built-in; mirrored to vi/ja/uk. doc-generator rename
mirrored to ja/zh/uk.
* docs: correct stale content for Claude Code v2.1.206
Fix content that no longer matches current Claude Code behavior:
- 04-subagents: remove the /agents creation-wizard instructions
(wizard removed in v2.1.198); point users to ask Claude or edit
.claude/agents/ files directly. Explore agent now inherits the
session model (capped at Opus) instead of Haiku; subagents run in
the background by default.
- Rename the default permission mode "default" -> "Manual" (v2.1.200)
across README, CATALOG, INDEX, LEARNING-ROADMAP, resources,
claude_concepts_guide, and 09-advanced-features, noting that
"default" still works as an alias.
- README: update the stale "latest v2.1.160" currency claims to v2.1.206.
- Reconcile the contradictory /simplify vs /code-review history:
they are distinct current skills (/simplify split back out in v2.1.154).
Refresh metadata footers to v2.1.206 / July 11, 2026 and add Claude
Sonnet 5 to Compatible Models on every edited file.
* docs: add Claude Code v2.1.206 feature coverage
Document new features and options that landed through v2.1.206:
- Skills: /dataviz bundled skill, skill stacking (loads all leading
skills, up to 5), and the ${CLAUDE_PROJECT_DIR} substitution.
- Slash commands: /dataviz row and ${CLAUDE_PROJECT_DIR} mention.
- Subagents already covered in the correctness commit; CLI adds
--append-subagent-system-prompt, CLAUDE_ENABLE_STREAM_WATCHDOG,
a Claude Sonnet 5 model row (new default, 1M context), and the
/model "Org default" note.
- MCP: roots/list working-directory discovery and the untrusted-
workspace pending-approval behavior for self-approved .mcp.json.
- Hooks: agent_needs_input / agent_completed Notification values and
the prompt_id input field.
- Plugins: marketplace renames / displayName / defaultEnabled fields.
- Checkpoints: "Summarize up to here" backward targeted compaction.
Refresh metadata footers to v2.1.206 / July 11, 2026 and add Claude
Sonnet 5 to Compatible Models on every edited file.
* docs: qualify Sonnet 5 default scope and reconcile bundled-skills list
- Sonnet 5 default is tier-dependent (Pro/Team seats); Opus 4.8 remains
default on Max/Team Premium/Enterprise PAYG/API — was overstated as
the flat default.
- Add missing /simplify row to the bundled-skills table (it was already
referenced as a distinct skill in the /code-review row) and drop the
hard skill count in favor of pointing at the commands reference.
* docs: sync to Claude Code v2.1.156 and Claude Opus 4.8
Model bump Opus 4.7 -> Opus 4.8 and version sync v2.1.150 -> v2.1.156.
- Rewrite effort-ladder claims for Opus 4.8 (default `high`; `xhigh` on
4.8/4.7; `max` on 4.8/4.7/4.6 and Sonnet 4.6; Haiku has no effort).
- Replace soon-removed CLAUDE_CODE_OPUS_4_6_FAST_MODE_OVERRIDE with the
`/model claude-opus-4-6[1m]` + `/fast on` path; note Opus 4.8 fast mode.
- Bump lineup tables to Opus 4.8; fix Haiku 4.5 context (1M -> 200K).
- Sweep Compatible Models + version/date footers to 2.1.156 / May 29, 2026
across 23 English docs (incl. 2.1.138/2.1.145 stragglers).
- Re-document `/simplify` as a distinct cleanup-only command (v2.1.154).
- Add Dynamic Workflows + `/workflows`, MessageDisplay hook (count 29->30),
disallowed-tools frontmatter, `/reload-skills` + SessionStart outputs,
`/model` default-save inversion, lean system prompt, status-line
COLUMNS/LINES, and the ultracode `/effort` note.
* docs(cli): drop unverified fast-mode dollar pricing, keep verified rate/speed multipliers
Sync covers v2.1.128, v2.1.129, and v2.1.131 (May 2026). Highlights:
gateway /v1/models discovery is now opt-in (CLAUDE_CODE_ENABLE_GATEWAY_MODEL_DISCOVERY),
added --plugin-url flag, disableRemoteControl setting, /mcp tool-count display,
expanded skillOverrides values, /context viz no longer leaks into conversation,
Ctrl+R cross-project default. Also reconciles slash-command count to 60+ and
fixes the skill-count entry in CATALOG.
Sync all English tutorials with Claude Code v2.1.112 and the new Opus 4.7
model (claude-opus-4-7). Introduces the xhigh effort level (new default on
Opus 4.7), two new built-in slash commands (/ultrareview,
/less-permission-prompts), auto mode without --enable-auto-mode for Max
subscribers on Opus 4.7, PowerShell tool on Windows, Auto-match-terminal
theme, and plan files named after prompts. All 18 EN doc footers bumped to
Claude Code v2.1.112.
Version callouts in README.md, zh/README.md, and uk/README.md updated to
v2.1.112. Changelog entry prepended.
Repo version now tracks Claude Code version (2.3.0 → 2.1.112 is intentional
per new convention).
* docs: sync to Claude Code v2.1.101 with new feature coverage
Bumps all English docs from v2.1.97 to v2.1.101, adds mandatory Sources
footer block (previously missing), and documents three new features
shipped between v2.1.98 and v2.1.101:
- /team-onboarding (v2.1.101) — new built-in command for generating
teammate ramp-up guides. Added to 01-slash-commands and CATALOG.
- /ultraplan (v2.1.91+, cloud-env auto-creation in v2.1.101) — full
section in 09-advanced-features covering launch methods, status
indicators, and execution options. Replaces prior 3-line stub.
- Monitor tool (v2.1.98) — full section in 09-advanced-features with
stream-filter and poll-emit patterns and the grep --line-buffered
warning. Added to resources.md feature table.
Vietnamese and Chinese translations are not touched in this sync.
* fix(docs): address review feedback on v2.1.101 sync
- Correct /team-onboarding availability date (April 10 → April 11, 2026)
- Fix uninitialized \$last variable in Monitor poll-and-emit example
- Update CATALOG.md New Features heading to April 2026 and add Monitor
Tool, /team-onboarding, and Ultraplan auto-create entries
The latest Claude Code release is 2.1.97, not 2.3.0 (which is this
guide's own version). Update all 20 "Claude Code Version" footer lines
to accurately reflect the documented Claude Code version.

Update all documentation footers from generic "April 2026 / 2.1+" to
the specific sync date (April 9, 2026) and documented version (2.3.0).
Also add version/date footers to zh/CATALOG.md and
zh/01-slash-commands/README.md which were missing them.

* docs: sync all tutorials with latest Claude Code official docs (April 2026)
Update 44 documentation files to reflect the latest Claude Code features
from code.claude.com. Key content changes include new slash commands
(/ultraplan, /powerup, /sandbox), deprecated command removals (/pr-comments,
/vim), corrected skill description budget (1%/8K), new hook events
(PermissionDenied, InstructionsLoaded, ConfigChange), expanded Agent Teams
section, new plugin components (LSP, bin/, settings.json), and new CLI
flags (--bare, --tmux, --effort, --channels). Added "Last Updated: April
2026" metadata footer to all documentation files.
* fix(docs): correct env var values and alphabetical ordering
- CLAUDE_CODE_NEW_INIT=true → =1 in 02-memory and 09-advanced-features
- CLAUDE_CODE_EXPERIMENTAL_AGENT_TEAMS=true → =1 in 09-advanced-features
- Fix /powerup vs /plugin alphabetical order in slash commands table
* fix(docs): correct env var values in locale files (vi, zh)
Propagate CLAUDE_CODE_NEW_INIT=true → =1 and
CLAUDE_CODE_EXPERIMENTAL_AGENT_TEAMS=true → =1 corrections
to Vietnamese and Chinese translations.
- Replace docs.anthropic.com URLs with code.claude.com equivalents across all files
- Mark /review as deprecated with code-review plugin recommendation
- Fix "Sonnet 4.5" → "Sonnet 4.6" model name reference
- Update Task() → Agent() syntax in subagents documentation
- Remove undocumented /todos from slash commands table
- Add verification note about CLAUDE.local.md not in official docs
Mention /self-assessment and /lesson-quiz skills throughout both files so
learners discover them at every milestone, in progress tracking, and in a
dedicated "Test Your Knowledge" section.
Redesign LEARNING-ROADMAP.md with a self-assessment quiz that routes users
to Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced paths instead of a single linear track.
Add two project-local skills:
- self-assessment: comprehensive proficiency quiz (quick or deep mode)
covering 10 feature areas with per-topic scoring and personalized
learning paths
- lesson-quiz: per-lesson quiz with 100-question bank (10 per lesson)
for pre-test, progress check, or mastery verification
Update README.md learning path table with "Recommended For" column and
quiz link. Update .gitignore to track project skills.
Update 23 files across all 10 tutorial directories and 7 reference
documents to match the latest Claude Code v2.1+ features and correct
outdated content including model names (4.5→4.6), permission modes,
hook events, CLI syntax, MCP config paths, plugin manifest format,
checkpoint commands, session management, and URLs. Add documentation
for new features: Auto Memory, Remote Control, Web Sessions, Desktop
App, Agent Teams, MCP OAuth, Task List, Sandboxing, and more.
Replace light colors with darker, WCAG-compliant alternatives that
provide better contrast in both light and dark modes. All nodes now
use white text for consistent readability.
Fixes#6
- Update all main markdown files (INDEX.md, LEARNING-ROADMAP.md, QUICK_REFERENCE.md, CONTRIBUTING.md, claude_concepts_guide.md, resources.md) with new responsive picture element
- Add logo to all subdirectory README files in feature folders (01-10) and plugins
- Replace old markdown image syntax with HTML picture element for dark/light mode adaptation
- Logo automatically displays dark mode version when system prefers dark mode
- Maintain correct relative paths for all nesting levels (../, ../../, etc.)
- Update README.md with new logo syntax
All markdown files now use the new V2.0 starburst logo design with professional dark/light mode support.
