The following frontmatter keys are **not allowed** in plugin subagent definitions: - `hooks` -- Subagents cannot register event handlers - `mcpServers` -- Subagents cannot configure MCP servers - `permissionMode` -- Subagents cannot override the permission model This ensures that plugins cannot escalate privileges or modify the host environment beyond their declared scope. ## Publishing a Plugin **Steps to publish:** 1. Create plugin structure with all components 2. Write `.claude-plugin/plugin.json` manifest 3. Create `README.md` with documentation 4. Test locally with `claude --plugin-dir ./my-plugin` 5.
