fix(hooks): the timeline Stop hook bounds its stdin read (#3628) (#3715)
A host that writes the Stop payload and keeps stdin open held the hook for as long as the pipe stayed open. Read for at most 500 ms, stop at the first complete JSON payload, and await the repair before exiting 0. Reported in #3628 (shahab, mashtii85); the read is written fresh on main. v1.92.45.0 /ship review scales to risk, with a 2-round cap (R51) (#3820)
* review: /ship depth scales to risk, not size; two rounds is the cap (R51, GSTA-167) Non-risky code is light at any size; a risk class (money, auth, secret, security, user data) or gate code makes it full. UI or game text counts as docs. A fix-check counts as a round and round 2 never earns a third. The receipt records review_loop.rounds and review_depth.risk. Repins lib/review-depth.ts and pins lib/review-risk.ts under no-loss replay R51 (test/review-packets-removed.test.ts): the saved panel findings re-scored against this plan lose no blocker, and every gate, security, user-data and money fixture keeps main's reviewers plus the full panel. v1.92.42.0 fix(ship): notes-only review passes bind; carry handles large diffs; scoped carry route (GST-430, GST-448, GST-442, GST-444) (#3694)
* fix(ship): base merges, adjacent base edits, test-only and audit-requested fixes no longer force a second review loop (GST-407, GST-384, GST-391)

* ship driver: keep the Next steps heading phrase the handoff check reads; trim elsewhere

* test: regenerate ship goldens
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: pre-landing review fixes
comparePath returns same only when every hunk sits where the base change puts it (patch-ids ignore positions) and treats a file-mode change as changed; the scoped-review packet says when a fence is truncated; --docs-result must be the posted audit's result; the --context-reviewed record goes beside the packet, outside the worktree. Negative controls for each.
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: pass-2 review fixes
A test edit routes as tests= only when it adds lines with no gate tag; a removed or changed line or an unreadable test diff goes through the full loop. Diffs skip textconv. A hunkless patch (binary, empty, mode-only) is same when its patch-id matches. Without --reviewed-base test files route as before. finish's packet path and attempt's state directory have fallbacks.
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: Step 11 review fixes; a version-only stamp_files edit after review is release metadata (GBRA-251)
gateEditedPaths reads removed lines only inside hunks; carry refuses when a path listing fails; docs freshness stops on a failed listing; attempt counts an unreadable state file. releasePaths includes stamp_files paths whose edit is a version swap under stamp_patterns.
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: no test edit skips review; guard packet writes; exclusive attempt state
A test-only edit with no gate tag gets the scoped fix-check of its test hunks instead of a lanes-only rerun. Packet write failures print a STOP or RECEIPT_CARRY_REFUSED. attempt's allowance uses an exclusive create.
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: attempt prints gstack's install command; carry checks the product diff outside context paths
The attempt STOP no longer echoes the audit child's fix text. A scoped-review carry now requires the product patch-id without the context paths to match at both heads.
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: oversized packets take the full loop; exact --docs-requested match; name-only test globs only in test dirs
A scoped-review packet section over 200 lines sends that path to the full loop instead of a truncated packet. The docs-result path match is exact. test_*.py, *Test.java and similar count as test code only under a test directory.

* fix(review-log): record a notes-only /ship pass clean; name the cause and repair when a pass's tree moved (GST-430)

* fix(receipt): carry and write handle PRs with thousands of files; tree receipt fails closed on a failed diff (GST-448)
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix(ship): preflight routes RECEIPT_CARRY_SCOPED_REVIEW to the scoped review; carry --dry-run writes no packet (GST-442)
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* docs(ship): Step 1.4 and Step 16 route the scoped-review refusal and the --docs-requested fix; trims keep the cap (GST-442, GST-444)
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: /ship review pass 1: notes-only floor, scoped carry order, named temp and diff refusals
- A notes-only pass is recorded clean only when every finding is fixed, or noted or deferred below the
blocking floor (never CRITICAL or blocking), by its logger-stamped action, and the findings account
for the claimed issue and critical counts (GST-430).
- The preflight scoped carry route commits and pushes the base-merge fix before writing the packet (GST-442).
- patchId refuses by name on an unwritable TMPDIR; the tree receipt names why its diff failed (GST-448).
- Step 16 stage 3 spells out --docs-requested with its --docs-result (GST-444).
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* test: pin the Step 16 --docs-requested route with its --docs-result
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: a claimed clean review row with a logger-stamped open gate finding reads UNVERIFIED (red-team, pass 1)
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: Step 11 findings: gate rows from --findings are stamped, one open rule, stale patch-id dirs swept
- deriveFromFindings stamps gate rows with the session kind before deriving status, so a findings file cannot
dispose of a gate finding the unattended logger forces open (outside-voice#1).
- reviewFreshness reads a claimed row's findings with isOpenByAction, the rule the notes-only rewrite uses;
noted and deferred clear a finding only when it is marked blocking: false and is not CRITICAL.
- patchId sweeps gstack-patch-id-* directories over an hour old that a killed carry left in TMPDIR.
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: Step 11 round 2: stamped-open gates win over status and disposition; resolved gate, skipped and below-floor actions stay CURRENT
- isOpenFinding treats action 'open' (the logger's forced-open stamp) as open before a row's status or disposition.
- reviewFreshness flags a claimed clean row only for an 'open' action or a CRITICAL or blocking deferral or note, so
interactive kept and restored gates, skipped advisories and INFORMATIONAL deferrals read CURRENT as before.
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: carry dry run offers the scoped route last; patch-id diff under the git dir; changelog matches the review-log floor
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: a claimed clean review row with any unresolved non-gate CRITICAL finding reads UNVERIFIED (pass 2 red-team)

* docs: carry dry-run scoped route, patch-id directory, tree-receipt refusal (docs-d-1 audit)

Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix(tree-receipt): keep the gated-to-current diff at the file helper timeout (60 s); pregate literals check

v1.92.41.0 fix(ubicloud): pack and usage on macOS, reap and up on an empty project (#3680, #3679, #3678) (#3746)
* fix(ubicloud): pack and usage on macOS, empty projects (#3680, #3679, #3678) pack builds its archive in two tar passes plus gzip, which bsdtar and GNU tar both accept, with COPYFILE_DISABLE=1 so Apple's tar adds no ._* files. vm_rows skips the blank row Ubicloud returns for a project with no VMs. usage parenthesizes its ternary for the one-true-awk and exits 1 on an unreadable list or size; the quota preflight logs that and defers to the API. v1.92.38.0 fix(brain-sync): set local edits aside around the retry merge and say why it failed (#3704) (#3728)
* test(brain-sync): a rejected push's retry merge must not wedge on local edits (#3704) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(brain-sync): set local edits aside around the retry merge and say why it failed (#3704) After a rejected push, git refused the fetch-and-merge whenever a file it would update had uncommitted local edits, and brain-sync discarded git's error, so every later run hit the same refusal and stayed push_failed. The merge now stashes tracked edits first and restores them after; a failed merge is aborted; a conflicting restore keeps the merged version in the working tree and names the stash and the restore command in the status. push_failed carries git's merge reason and the real push error line. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(brain-sync): set aside only the paths the retry merge changes, read them literally, and pop only our own stash entry (#3704) Pre-landing review fixes: a pattern-like conflicting file name no longer resets unrelated local edits, a stash push that saves nothing no longer pops an older entry, and a file that never checks out clean no longer strands every other local edit in the stash. v1.92.31.0 fix(flaky): qa-callers child handoff and three ship-docsync detector gaps (2026-10-29 flaky pass, GSTA-162) (#3606)
* fix(flaky): qa-callers parents hand children literal commands and paths; Step 9 gate scan joins diff discovery Nine paid ship qa-callers reds after #3553 (late-input, plan-checks, small-cli) had two causes, replayed from their retained captures (2026-10-29 flaky pass, GSTA-162): - six trials: the parent paraphrased its specialist prompt and the child ran the one refused call (git -C <dir> diff, or a cd into the checklist directory); - three late-input trials hit error_max_turns at 25/25 after running Step 9's gate scan only after the receipt, or never. The session prompt now tells the parent the child starts in the product directory, to write each command exactly as it must run and each Read as one literal path; the ship scheduling contract lists Step 9's review-plan command and gate-scan block with the first diff discovery. The detector is unchanged. Seven new replay tests fail with the fixture prompt stashed. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(flaky): docsync detectors accept a read given --help, the cap gate's wrong-path 127 and a full read before a failed separator; only the accepted docs attempt is parsed strictly Replayed from the 2026-10-29 window's ship-docsync reds (GSTA-162): - current 40822033640, completion 40815828320, store 40809051510: the parent joined `cat <candidate> --help 2>&1 | head -N` onto a line of reads; GNU cat printed its usage and read nothing. A declared read command given --help is neutral; its operands are still checked. - stale-after 40749421675: the cap gate typed at the shard root exited 127, then ran at the declared path. The wrong-path 127 excuse now covers the cap gate as well as the candidate. - failure 40828580338: phase.md printed in full, then zsh failed the `echo ======` separator. The read counts when the line's first unpiped cat printed the whole file first. - completion 40805543956: the parent rejected attempt 1 (no documentation_section) and re-audited; the case now parses only the accepted attempt strictly. * test: regenerate ship goldens
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: pre-landing review fixes
comparePath returns same only when every hunk sits where the base change puts it (patch-ids ignore positions) and treats a file-mode change as changed; the scoped-review packet says when a fence is truncated; --docs-result must be the posted audit's result; the --context-reviewed record goes beside the packet, outside the worktree. Negative controls for each.
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: pass-2 review fixes
The docs-result path match is exact. test_*.py, *Test.java and similar count as test code only under a test directory.

v1.92.23.0 feat(harness): opt-in start hook for OpenClaw and Hermes, so agents run a skill's start command (GST-718) (#3786)
* feat(harness): opt-in start hook for OpenClaw and Hermes (GST-718) gstack-harness register openclaw|hermes --start-hook (or GSTACK_HARNESS_START_HOOK, or gstack-config harness_start_hook) adds a gstack-start plugin that puts a one-line note on every user turn to run a gstack skill's start command as written. Activation goes through each harness's own CLI and is read back; a run that turns it on and ends inactive exits 4. Off by default. v1.92.22.0 feat: Gemini CLI host, and older installs drop the dev toolchain (#3778)
* setup: explicit contributor marker; move pre-v1.91.231.0 installs to production deps (#3447) ./setup used node_modules/typescript as its contributor signal, so every install made before v1.91.231.0 (a full bun install) kept ~520 MB of test and eval packages forever. The contributor is now the clone bin/dev-setup marks with git config gstack.contributor true, or GSTACK_CONTRIBUTOR=1. An unmarked clone with the dev toolchain moves node_modules aside under a checkout lock, installs production-only, verifies every dependency, and drops the backup; any failure puts the full install back with SETUP_DEPS_MIGRATE_FAILED. CI and a clone whose git config cannot be read never migrate. Bun cache entries for the pinned Agent SDK are removed only when no other project links to them. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * hosts: add Gemini CLI as an experimental host (#1247) ./setup --host gemini (alias gemini-cli; --host auto when gemini is on PATH) installs gstack-<skill> directories into ~/.gemini/skills, which Gemini CLI 0.66.0 lists with gemini skills list, plus the ~/.gemini/skills/gstack runtime root. Renders go to .gemini-cli/ (gitignored) with name+description frontmatter whose names match their directories, CLAUDE.md rewritten to GEMINI.md, and a tool glossary for Gemini CLI's names (and Antigravity's, which can read the same folder). gstack-uninstall removes only gstack-managed entries there, so the user's own skills stay. Docs: ADDING_A_HOST.md verified facts, hosts.md, uninstall.md, README. v1.92.16.0 fix: /ship stops re-running the review loop after base merges, test fixes and audit-requested doc fixes (#3684)
* fix(ship): base merges, adjacent base edits, test-only and audit-requested fixes no longer force a second review loop (GST-407, GST-384, GST-391)

* test: regenerate ship goldens
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: pre-landing review fixes
comparePath returns same only when every hunk sits where the base change puts it (patch-ids ignore positions) and treats a file-mode change as changed; the scoped-review packet says when a fence is truncated; --docs-result must be the posted audit's result; the --context-reviewed record goes beside the packet, outside the worktree. Negative controls for each.
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: pass-2 review fixes
The docs-result path match is exact. test_*.py, *Test.java and similar count as test code only under a test directory.

v1.92.15.0 feat: plan reviews check facts and keep one task list; /office-hours hands its wireframe to design review (#340, #513, #973, #1048, #1791) (#3775)
* G1: gstack-plan-reality check opens every file:line receipt (#973) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * G1: office-hours spec reviewer checks paths and flags through a bin-enforced probe (#973) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * G2: plan-review reruns reconcile the last task list (gstack-tasks prior/supersede) (#1791) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * G2: plan reviews write task lists through gstack-tasks start/add/close The emit block shrinks to three calls: prior (now defaulting --dir and --branch, and printing how to reconcile), start (creates the empty branch-named list) and add (one validated row per task). close records a done or dropped prior task. The plan-review result codes move to lib/result-codes-plan.ts so lib/result-codes.ts stays under the module-size ratchet; generated plan-review sections shrink, so their size pins go down. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * F2: office-hours saves the sketch beside the design doc; /plan-design-review reads it Step 5 copies sketch.png/html to <PROJECT_DIR>/{user}-{branch}-sketch-{datetime}.* and writes a Wireframe: line (state-root relative) or Wireframe: none (<reason>). The design review section finds the design doc before Pass 1 and opens the wireframe, text-only when the file is missing. G4's signals line rides along in the same generated office-hours files; tests in planning-wave-prose. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * G3: plan reviews tie storage to queries, not file count (#1048) One bullet in each of plan-eng-review and plan-ceo-review: fields queried, constrained or updated on their own get explicit columns or tables; JSON suits a document read and written whole. Written fresh; the reporter's patch is not ported. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * evals: GSTA-228 planning-wave cases with branch, main and no-gstack arms planted facts (G1, behavior), data model (G3, behavior), task-list rerun (G2, rule) and closing signals (G4, behavior). GSTACK_WAVE_ARM picks the arm; only the branch arm asserts the preregistered bar, every arm writes a score row. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * changelog: GSTA-228 planning wave fragment Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * G1: the probe takes subcommand words for fixed-subcommand CLIs The planted-facts eval's one branch miss: the reviewer asked to probe "git log", the probe refused it, and git's top-level help cannot show a log flag, so the fabricated --since-commit stayed "unverified". probe --help <command> [<subcommand> [<subcommand>]] now runs <cli> --help for git, gh, docker, cargo, go, npm and uv (never node, bun, python3, make, yarn, pnpm or a gstack bin, where the word could name a script), in an empty temporary directory with pagers set to cat, falling back to -h when --help has no usage line (a minimized system's missing man page). Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * G2: task text goes through a rows file, never a command line The free suite's generated-bash lint (INV-3) refused the add command's <title>/<finding> placeholders: free text reaches a command only as a file the agent writes with its file-write tool. start now also creates an empty rows file in the repository's git-excluded .gstack/tmp and records the run; the agent writes task and disposition rows there; add validates every row, stamps phase, run, branch and commit, appends tasks to the list and dispositions to task-dispositions-<phase>-<branch>.jsonl, then supersedes the branch's earlier lists. close is gone (dispositions are rows). The new planning-wave cases get measured periodic walls in scripts/paid-test-durations.json so the periodic census still packs into 40 slices, the schema case declares the preamble sources its eng-template owners need, and the paid file count is 114. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * G2: fold start into add so each plan review emits one bash fence The rows file lives at .gstack/tmp/tasks-<phase>-rows.jsonl; add writes this run's list (empty when there are no rows), appends dispositions, deletes the rows file and supersedes the branch's earlier lists. Lowers 27 size pins. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * G2 tests: give gstack-tasks a private HOME and state root CI shard 13 home containment caught gstack-slug writing ~/.gstack/slug-cache entries from the tasks-prior fixtures. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * changelog: gstack-tasks has no start command Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * G1/G2: tighten the probe and the rows file after ship review The probe now accepts only each CLI's listed built-in subcommands (no uv run, docker run, go test, npm exec or gh extensions), refuses gstack bins that do not handle --help and never retries them with -h, and runs with a throwaway HOME and an environment without keys. gstack-tasks resolves the slug through runScriptSync (Windows) and prior deletes a rows file an unfinished run left. Adds tests for the dropped disposition and the stale rows file. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * G2: add refuses while an earlier task is neither carried nor closed Ship review (state matrix): a rerun that skipped RECONCILE silently retired open tasks. add now names each undecided <run_id>/<id> and writes nothing. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * G1/G2: fixes from the ship fix-check and Step 11 voices Probe: find the repository root without running git, drop relative and in-repository PATH entries for lookup and for the child, keep HOME and toolchain locations (rustup, mise, asdf) but no keys, drop cargo fmt/clippy (external cargo-* programs), restore planted env in the test. gstack-tasks: resolve the exclude path against the cwd (subdirectories), resolve --dir, stamp an empty branch on a detached HEAD like the aggregator, name the file from --branch, and refuse a same-second second list instead of appending. Receipts: line 0, reversed ranges, dangling links and paths through files are unresolved instead of crashing. v1.92.9.0 fix: /freeze checks where an edit really lands, so new-folder paths can't escape it (#3623) (#3758)
* fix(freeze): resolve the full path before the boundary check, fail closed when it can't (#3623) check-freeze.sh canonicalized only an existing parent directory and compared the raw string otherwise, so any path through a directory that did not exist yet kept its literal in-boundary prefix: '<b>/../outside/new/x', '<b>/link-out/new/x', '<b>/..', '~/.zshrc' with cwd inside, and 'C:\proj\src\..\..\other\new\x' were all allowed. _resolve_path now walks the path one component at a time, follows symlinks at any depth, and requires both the OS reading and a lexical normalizer's reading of '..' to land inside. Paths it cannot place deny with a reason: symlink loops and chains over 40 links, line breaks, Windows drive- and root-relative paths, names Windows trims, odd UNC roots. Windows rules keep '..' at the drive or share root. The shared extractor keeps trailing newlines and maps lone surrogates on path fields only; /careful's command values are unchanged. Co-authored-by: Quinn O'Donnell <90010678+Quinnod345@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(freeze): deny paths over PATH_MAX before the quadratic walk (#3623) A PreToolUse hook that outlives the host's timeout does not block the edit, and the component walk is quadratic in path length. Deny a file_path over 4096 characters, and links that grow the walk past 8192, before walking. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(freeze): bound the total length of followed link targets (#3623) The PATH_MAX cap bounded only the file_path text; each link hop could add up to 8192 characters again, and a padded 40-link chain kept the quadratic walk busy for 104s. Count every target against one 8192-character budget. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * test(freeze): cheap link-chain budget test; name the path in the budget reason (#3623) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * docs(changelog): /freeze boundary escape fix (#3623) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * docs(freeze): describe full-path resolution and fail-closed cases (#3623) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * freeze: deny Windows link targets relative to a drive or its root (#3623) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * freeze: read a leading // as / on POSIX hosts, never as a UNC prefix (#3623) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * freeze: compare Git Bash paths by cygpath's drive spelling (#3623) Git Bash mounts %TEMP% at /tmp and converts HOME through its mounts, so '~/x' and 'D:\...\x' named one file in two spellings and the hook denied a legit edit (windows-free-shard 2 on #3758). Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * freeze: name the edited path as given in the deny, with where it lands (#3623) cygpath's drive spelling made a Windows deny print /c/Program Files/Git/etc/hosts for /etc/hosts (windows-free-shard 2 on #3758, 'Edit denials name the tool and file_path too'). v1.92.5.0 fix(upgrade): refuse an install whose enclosing project tracks its files (#1022) (#3750)
* fix(upgrade): refuse an install whose enclosing project tracks its files (#1022) A project that commits gstack's files as plain blobs puts the old ones back on every checkout of its own, so VERSION froze behind HEAD while gstack-upgrade reported the install current. bin/gstack-ff-update, the one move the auto-updater and /gstack-upgrade share, now refuses with exit 6 (nothing changed) when the enclosing repository tracks non-gitlink paths under the install, or when VERSION differs from HEAD (eol-normalized). gstack-upgrade runs the same checks through --preflight before any fetch; the auto-updater holds the update with a banner and a troubleshooting anchor. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: pre-landing review fixes Leave an unmerged VERSION to the rescue, keep the enclosing project's fsmonitor hook from running during the preflight, and word the version-reverted refusal for a hand edit as well as a project checkout. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * docs(troubleshooting): name the hand-edited VERSION case Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: review pass fixes for the #1022 preflight The printed repair untracks the install with --literal-pathspecs and escapes glob characters in the ignore rule; the message is no longer capped short. version-reverted compares VERSION's first line with HEAD's, yields to the rescue when any file is unmerged, and runs inside the install lock on a full update. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * test: the literal-repair decoy matches the install's glob Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * changelog: fragment for the #1022 preflight Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: finish an interrupted move instead of holding it as version-reverted The in-lock VERSION check accepts a VERSION already at the target's. v1.92.2.0 evals: no-gstack arms for the model panel, arm-benchmark, safety and routing evals (#3708)
* feat(eval-plan): results --check refuses a results table without its no-gstack rows Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * test(model-panel): a <model>#no-gstack arm per model, identity-keyed cells, one campaign, results.md (GST-468) Each panel model also runs as <model>#no-gstack: the same fixture, ticket, tools, limits, route and reservation, with no skill folder and no routing line. The arm identity keys the ledger attempt, test name, row and summary; candidate folders are named after the fixture project and the seed commit has a neutral author. summarize reads one campaign (run id and PREREG.md sha256) and refuses a duplicate cell; suggestionLine reads the skill arms only, so the preregistered particle-1 line is unchanged. renderResults writes results.md, which passes gstack-eval-plan results --check against the new test/fixtures/model-panel/PREREG.md (supersedes GSTA-173 for later runs). Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * feat(arm-benchmark): no-gstack arm on a pinned model, 3 paired trials, both-order paired judge, spend ledger (GST-469) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * test(evals): no-gstack arm for the safety-rule and router evals (GST-470) GSTACK_SAFETY_ARM and GSTACK_ROUTER_ARM take a third value, none: the same fixture, tools and user request with no skill excerpt, rule text, step file or installed skill. Under none every behavioral check is recorded as an observation (none-arm-observations.jsonl) and never fails the case or writes contract-violations.jsonl; harness preconditions still assert. The four safety prompt builders (ship-evidence, codex-boundary, codex-consult, design-risk) and the router fixtures move into helpers; the rule, removed, current and before prompts stay byte-identical, proven against reference copies of main's code. pair-agent and ios-demo refuse none with the reason (NO_NONE_ARM). GSTACK_ROUTER_ARM now throws on an unknown value instead of silently running current. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * chore: changelog fragment for the no-gstack arms in existing evals Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * test(arm-benchmark): arm-pair paired-judge calibration run (bar met 6/6, $7.22) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * test(paid-shards): keep loop-named panel and arm-benchmark cases selectable by --case The lanes moved each cell's testName into helpers, so the static detector no longer saw a computed registration and B4 failed for all eight cases. Same runtime test names; the paid runs are unaffected. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(tests): keep FREE_FIXTURES and the placeholder allowlist current for the no-gstack arms scripts/judge-calibration.ts is now an arm-benchmark paid touchfile, so it can no longer be a free consumer of test/fixtures/judge-calibration/** (CI free-suite 8). The eval-plan Step 5 fence names <prereg-path> and <results-path>; allowlist both as PATH placeholders (CI free-suite 19). Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * test(eval-plan): cover a complete table after a partial one, --json output and the results usage error Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * test(eval-plan): keep the Step 7 coverage test as reviewed Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * chore: name the changelog fragment after the branch slug Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * docs: arm-benchmark project folder names and the arm-pair calibration corpus Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * docs: keep the judge-calibration fixture README as reviewed Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * docs(skills): describe eval-plan results --check Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> --------- Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> |
