fix(pregate): conflict-markers reads the pushed commit, fixed git prefixes and real declarations
Review fixes for GST-1190: read HEAD and the working tree, force a/ b/ prefixes and unquoted paths, skip untracked files, require the fixture declaration on its own line near the top, refuse conflicts inside code fences in Markdown, run the test spawn through bunIsolationArgs for Windows. v1.94.20.0 test(review): one file per review and harness pin, so independent repins merge cleanly (GST-1084) (#3903)
* test(review): one file per review and harness pin, so independent repins merge cleanly (GST-1084)
The reviewer-brief pins move from the table in test/review-packets-removed.test.ts to
test/fixtures/review-pins/{files,replays,brief-bodies}/*.json, and the harness pins from
scripts/harness-version.json to scripts/harness-pins/<path>.json. Every entry is ported
unchanged. New tests prove a stale pin still fails and that two repins of different pins
merge cleanly with a real git merge-tree.
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: pre-landing review fixes (GST-1084)
- unadmitted() and the specialist coverage use Object.hasOwn, so an inherited name such as toString is not an admitted replay
- MUST_PIN names every non-specialist reviewer source; deleting one of those pins now fails
- writeManifest writes the pins before the manifest head; pin parse errors name the file
- mergePinEdits removes its repository when setup throws, and the merge tests clean up every merge they made

v1.94.16.0 fix(stamp): declared placeholder restamps are stamps; carry records HEAD's version (GST-1026, GST-1030) (#3892)
* fix(stamp): name branch lines by position; carry and finish accept a kept VERSION claim (GST-979, GST-980) BranchSide carries the positions of the branch-added lines and stampOnlyLine takes the removed line position, so a base line whose text duplicates a branch line keeps the old-version floor. At equal versions only the branch own lines may move. stampOnlyText and stampedFiles accept a kept claim for those lines, and the carry leaves a stamp file out of the product comparison when its only change since the reviewed head is a stamp on the branch own rows and the base did not touch it. Failing-first: all five new tests fail on main |

* ci: run Windows checks by path (ship-90-90 plan D, GST-1135) Windows Setup E2E skips a version-only package.json change; a new Windows Scoped Tests workflow runs a PR's changed Windows-safe tests when it touches path, file-name or process code. windows-smoke is unchanged. v1.94.8.0 fix(approvals): no identifying approval text in public-repo PR bodies (GST-1160) (#3918)
* fix(approvals): render no identifying approval text on public repositories (GST-1160) gstack-approvals render asks gh for the repo's visibility. A public repo, or one gh cannot read, gets only 'Approved: yes|no (record r-<id>)'; a PR description keeps every edit, so the owner's words, run ids and plan hashes stay in the private record. --full prints the rows only when the repo is not reported public. v1.94.4.0 captain docs: plan-first rule matches R65 (no plan review for bug fixes) (#3908)
* captain docs: plan-first rule matches R65 (no plan review for bug fixes) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * captain docs: trim plan-first wording under the context-budget ceilings The eager-loaded captain and Capy gstack skills grew past their context-budget ratchet ceilings (captain 6576 > 6551, capy/skill/gstack 5367 > 5315). Shorten the sentence in both, drop the duplicate bug-fix clause from the Capy skill's Plan first bullet, and remove the stale 'short run, not no run' clause from docs/captain.md that contradicted the new rule. v1.94.2.0 fix(review-risk): a recursive rm or rmSync keeps the security class (GST-942) (#3864)
* fix(review-risk): a recursive rm or rmSync keeps the security class whatever its arguments hold (GST-942)
The rmSync rule stopped at the first ), so path.join(...) as the first
argument or a ) in a comment hid recursive: true, and async fs.rm had no
rule. Both now read up to 500 characters of the line, in linear time.

170 of 170 old matches kept, 19 added, no tier change over 100 main
commits).

* fix: pre-landing review fixes (GST-942, pass 1)

* fix: the joined delete rule keeps the over-500-character fallback (GST-942 scoped fix-check)
A split recursive delete padded past 500 characters planned light; the

changelog and review policy say a one-line edit to an existing split
call is still read on its own.

Negative controls for each. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: pass-2 review fixes A test edit routes as tests= only when it adds lines with no gate tag; a removed or changed line or an unreadable test diff goes through the full loop. Diffs skip textconv. A hunkless patch (binary, empty, mode-only) is same when its patch-id matches. Without --reviewed-base test files route as before. finish's packet path and attempt's state directory have fallbacks. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: Step 11 review fixes; a version-only stamp_files edit after review is release metadata (GBRA-251) gateEditedPaths reads removed lines only inside hunks; carry refuses when a path listing fails; docs freshness stops on a failed listing; attempt counts an unreadable state file. releasePaths includes stamp_files paths whose edit is a version swap under stamp_patterns. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: no test edit skips review; guard packet writes; exclusive attempt state A test-only edit with no gate tag gets the scoped fix-check of its test hunks instead of a lanes-only rerun. Packet write failures print a STOP or RECEIPT_CARRY_REFUSED. attempt's allowance uses an exclusive create. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: attempt prints gstack's install command; carry checks the product diff outside context paths The attempt STOP no longer echoes the audit child's fix text. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: Step 11 round 2: stamped-open gates win over status and disposition; resolved gate, skipped and below-floor actions stay CURRENT - isOpenFinding treats action 'open' (the logger's forced-open stamp) as open before a row's status or disposition. - reviewFreshness flags a claimed clean row only for an 'open' action or a CRITICAL or blocking deferral or note, so interactive kept and restored gates, skipped advisories and INFORMATIONAL deferrals read CURRENT as before. v1.93.42.0 fix(stamp): name branch lines by position; carry and finish accept a kept VERSION claim (GST-979, GST-980) (#3889)
Failing-first: all five new tests fail on main |

v1.93.35.0 fix: pregate no longer kills a quiet test suite that is busy working (GST-1095) (#3899)
* fix(pregate): a quiet suite that is busy on CPU is not stalled (GST-1095) The stall timer looked only at log growth, so a parallel check.sh that prints nothing for 9 minutes while working ended PREGATE_STALLED (FOUN-63). supervise now samples the process group's CPU time each second and treats growth of at least a tenth of wall time as liveness. An idle hang still stalls; a hang that burns CPU is left to --timeout. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(pregate): stall wording says what was measured; a failed CPU read skips one sample; ps -S on BSDs (review pass 1) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(pregate): a failed CPU read waits for the next sample; docs wording (fix-check) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * changelog: GST-1095 fragment Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> --------- Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> |

v1.93.33.0 wave(review): #3705 #3744 #3745 #3764 #3765 #3795 (#3852)
* fix(ship): base merges, adjacent base edits, test-only and audit-requested fixes no longer force a second review loop (GST-407, GST-384, GST-391) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * ship driver: trim two phrases for headroom with #3662 Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * ship driver: keep the Next steps heading phrase the handoff check reads; trim elsewhere Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * test: regenerate ship goldens Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: pre-landing review fixes comparePath returns same only when every hunk sits where the base change puts it (patch-ids ignore positions) and treats a file-mode change as changed; the scoped-review packet says when a fence is truncated; --docs-result must be the posted audit's result; the --context-reviewed record goes beside the packet, outside the worktree. A scoped-review carry now requires the product patch-id without the context paths to match at both heads. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: oversized packets take the full loop; exact --docs-requested match; name-only test globs only in test dirs A scoped-review packet section over 200 lines sends that path to the full loop instead of a truncated packet. The docs-result path match is exact. test_*.py, *Test.java and similar count as test code only under a test directory. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * test: pin the Step 16 --docs-requested route with its --docs-result Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: a claimed clean review row with a logger-stamped open gate finding reads UNVERIFIED (red-team, pass 1) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: Step 11 findings: gate rows from --findings are stamped, one open rule, stale patch-id dirs swept - deriveFromFindings stamps gate rows with the session kind before deriving status, so a findings file cannot dispose of a gate finding the unattended logger forces open (outside-voice#1). - reviewFreshness reads a claimed row's findings with isOpenByAction, the rule the notes-only rewrite uses; noted and deferred clear a finding only when it is marked blocking: false and is not CRITICAL. - patchId sweeps gstack-patch-id-* directories over an hour old that a killed carry left in TMPDIR. Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: carry dry run offers the scoped route last; patch-id diff under the git dir; changelog matches the review-log floor Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: a claimed clean review row with any unresolved non-gate CRITICAL finding reads UNVERIFIED (pass 2 red-team) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * docs: carry dry-run scoped route, patch-id directory, tree-receipt refusal (docs-d-1 audit) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(ship): Step 3 names merge conflicts in its STOP sentence again (ship-workflow-clarity pin) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(tree-receipt): keep the gated-to-current diff at the file helper timeout (60 s); pregate literals check Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * test(carry): large-diff fixture sets core.longpaths so Git for Windows can add its long receipt paths (windows-free-shard 1, run 41210080055) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(review): a stale local base branch yields to its origin twin in gate-diff and diff-scope (GST-462) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(ship): Step 11 saves the targeted record and the receipt writes carry it; Step 9 clears it (GST-464) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * changelog: GST-464 and GST-462 Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(review): pass 1: ahead and diverged labels, diff-scope needs shared history; preflight refreshes origin/<base> and stops on a diff far beyond the PR (GST-462, HARN-15) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: pass-2 review fixes for base twin, prSized stop and targeted record Resolve the tracking twin by refs/remotes/<remote>/<ref> and only for a bare branch name, keep a local base that is ahead or diverged, quote the prSized stop's base and name the fork case, and have every Step 9 entry create, exclude and clear .gstack/tmp/targeted.json. * fix(review-ledger): a finding's Severity field sets its label, body severity words never raise it (GST-976) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(review-ledger): Severity counts only in field position, locus-first and emoji-led labels lead, an inline field floors the next (GST-976 review) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(review-ledger): linear lead-label prefix, all-caps leads before a space, fields after a parenthesis or without a colon at the line start (GST-976 review) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(review-ledger): a lead's file:line has no runaway backtracking and may be a range; a mid-line Severity field must close its clause (GST-976 review) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(review-ledger): a field at the line's start needs no closing clause; mid-line fields accept : / and → after the label (GST-976 fix-check) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * docs: changelog fragment and review-policy collect step for GST-976 Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(review-ledger): a Severity field's label chain (High/Critical) takes its strongest label; mid-line fields keep the clause-closing set (GST-976 scoped check) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * test(review-ledger): never weaker than main invariant over pinned inputs, fixtures and generated field shapes; a multi-label Severity field counts as none, lowercase fields keep their label (GST-976) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * docs: GST-976 re-audit, multi-label and lowercase Severity fields Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: native FIXABLE raises only on gate and risk review classes (GST-987) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: collect records fixable_raises:false so a later re-derive uses the same class (GST-987) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: GST-987 review fixes: history/floor reasons and FIXABLE-only fields keep v2; manifest must name this ledger Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: GST-987 round-2 fixes: FIXABLE relaxes only beside Blocks: no; raw FIXABLE heading; unreadable manifest keeps v2 Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: GST-987 fix-check: items under a FIXABLE heading need Blocks: no; Blocks: no-op is not Blocks: no; wrong-tree collect with an unreadable manifest Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * docs: GST-987 docs audit: depth section notes the native FIXABLE exception Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: a paragraph under a numbered finding heading joins it, so its fields attach (gstack-evals #149, GST-987) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: verify re-derives native labels with the collect's class (GST-987, after #3717) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * fix: #149 join stops at a labeled or located paragraph and after the fields (GST-987) Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * test: GST-987 #149 sibling shapes as named never-weaker invariant fixtures Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> * chore: drop the released GST-976 changelog fragment carried by the stack Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> --------- Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> |

v1.93.19.0 fix(receipt): --check-prose skips the Documentation exception line and closed code fences (GST-983, GST-984) (#3884)
* fix(receipt): --check-prose skips the Documentation exception line and closed code fences (GST-983, GST-984)
write --docs with an owner exception requires the PR body to carry the Documentation exception line word for word, and read --check-prose read the owner reason in it as counter claims, the deadlock GST-977 fixed for the Review-loop exception line. Pasted test output and quoted code in fenced blocks were read as receipt counts too (gstack-evals #142). The prose check now skips the exact docs exception line and every closed code fence; a fence that never closes stays prose. Failing-first: the three new cases fail on main

v1.93.16.0 fix(review): Step 11.5 bind ignores untracked root dot-dir scratch (GST-985) (#3873)
* fix(review): Step 11.5 bind ignores untracked root dot-dir scratch, keeps .github/ and .gstack/ (GST-985) gstack-review-log and gstack-review-read fingerprint with gstack-wtree --review, which leaves out root dot-directories that hold no tracked file. A test lane's .review-units-test-* scratch appearing or vanishing mid-review no longer unbinds the Step 9 row; .github/ and .gstack/ always count, and every other gstack-wtree caller keeps the whole tree. v1.93.15.0 fix(pregate): pytest, Playwright and mixed-language runners; literals stops flagging stray digits (#3598, #3492) (#3741)
* fix(pregate): runner detection for pytest, Playwright and mixed-language roots; literals binds one-character values A missing pytest is PREGATE_ENVIRONMENT, not the diff's failure (#3598). * fix(flaky): stream output, keep unreported runner failures red, fail-closed duplicates and nonzero reruns
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: pre-landing review fixes
gstack-flaky never greens an incomplete run: a targeted rerun needs the
runner's summary proving the first run complete, otherwise (and always for
generic runners) the rerun repeats the whole command. A rerun clears a test
only when it exits 0 and the test passes once on its first attempt. Killed
runners exit 3 (FLAKY_COMMAND_KILLED) and signals are forwarded. The first
report is restored at --junit with reruns kept beside it; ids are redacted at
every output; the ledger gets its own GSTACK_FLAKE_LEDGER_JUNIT; fixtures are
registered in FREE_FIXTURES.
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: latch cancellation and check whole-command rerun reports
A cancel forwarded to a runner that traps the signal now counts as killed for
every later attempt, so a cancelled job is never rerun or greened. A
whole-command rerun clears nothing when its report has a failed test, misses a
first-run test, or its runner counted failures outside the report.
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix: whole-command rerun when coverage or runner-flaky tests can fail the run
A coverage threshold or a fail-on-flaky policy fails a run for a reason a
narrowed rerun cannot reproduce, so either forces a whole-command rerun.
--junit refuses an existing file that is not a JUnit report instead of
deleting it.
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* feat(flaky): rerun the whole command by default; targeted rerun is opt-in
A rerun counts only on the runner's own full green verdict: exit 0, no failed
or missing test, nothing counted outside the report. That covers every way a
run can fail, which a narrowed rerun cannot (a coverage threshold with an lcov
reporter, a fail-on-flaky policy, a test never reached). --rerun-scope test
reruns the failed test alone, with its preconditions documented and the
complete-run checks kept as a safety net. An unreadable existing --junit file
is a usage error, not a crash.

Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* test(agent-sdk): every SDK caller passes the claude_code preset or names why not
The SDK's default system prompt is a bare stub that drops the line telling the
model to run /skill through the Skill tool. runAgentSdkTest now refuses a
missing, empty or bare-string prompt; non-preset callers name a reason; a free
tripwire scans test/ and scripts/ for the same mistake.
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* test: record the SDK prompt guard as a non-behavioral harness change and baseline its tripwire
harness-version: runAgentSdkTest validates systemPrompt before starting; every
live caller already passed the claude_code preset, so no verdict can change.
test-of-test ratchet: the tripwire's subject is the eval harness by design.

* feat(eval-plan): frontier models under test (R54)
Haiku and Sonnet are not models under test. dry-run refuses a plan whose every
arm is Haiku or Sonnet unless --tier-question names what it asks about that
tier, warns on a mix, and re-costs the plan on Opus 5.5 and GPT-6.1 Sol.
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix(eval-plan): trim R54 skill prose and raise the eval-plan context ceiling
The R54 paragraph and CHECK: frontier bullet were cut to the minimum; the
exemptions and verdict rule stay in docs/TESTING_INTERNALS.md. The remaining
growth is the feature, so only the eval-plan eager ceiling moves (4887 -> 5458,
the capture helper's value); other skills' ceilings are left as they were.
Co-authored-by: capy-ai[bot] <230910855+capy-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com>
* fix(eval-plan): pilot start keeps the R54 refusal; --tier-question rejects a flag
Review pass 1 (full depth) found the frontier refusal could be skipped by
starting a pilot on Haiku or Sonnet arms behind a dry run made on other arms,
or behind a dry-run.json written before the check existed. startPilot now
refuses a pilot whose every arm is Haiku or Sonnet unless its dry run recorded
a tier question. dry-run --tier-question no longer takes the next flag as its
answer. The testing doc now says the frontier re-cost is printed for
comparison with the brief cap, not enforced.

write --review-loop-exception requires the PR body to carry the exception line word for word, and read --check-prose read the owner reason in it as counter claims ("outside 1 and 2 skip detector" as 2 skip against 70, gstack-evals #139). The prose check now skips the line that matches the receipt exception exactly, as it skips the rendered Approvals block.

* docs(receipt): a fenced copy of the exception line is skipped too (GST-977 review)
