#   - a hook invocation is timed cold and warm (the cached resolution);
#   - a missing GSTACK_GIT_BASH refuses with BASH_UNAVAILABLE, not `()`;
#   - the same journey under a pinned, checksum-verified PortableGit found
#     only through `git --exec-path`.
