This list, also known as BADBOOL, was started on September 29, 2017 and was most recently updated in July 2024 to to replace HTTP links with now-available HTTPS links, and to remove defunct data broker sites and ones that are owned by other sites and no longer have independent opt-out forms. We also added information for healthcare workers with National Provider Index (NPI) numbers, who may now use a PO Box instead of a home address. We also added some contextual information about Verecor/Vericora. We fixed various typos and updated contact info for Searchbug and Acxiom. Lastly, we updated our ☠high priority☠ list.
This list, also known as BADBOOL, was started on September 29, 2017 and was most recently updated in August 2024 to update our information on paid people-search opt out services and link to an evaluation conducted in partnership with Tall Poppy.
