- SettingsGroup centers itself at 720dp via its incoming constraint
(not screen width, so groups inside clamped sheets are never
over-inset; unbounded-width contexts guarded); priority scaffold,
bespoke hero cards, and donate page get the same inset - all 18+
settings pages clamp from shared widgets
- queue list-mode, local/downloaded album track lists, favorite
artists, home recent-access, and extension detail sections adopt
wideListInset like the screens fixed earlier
- track metadata content clamped at 720dp, which also tames the
width-derived spectrogram height
- announcement dialog capped at 480dp wide; setup wizard and
tutorial content at 560dp with a 400dp action button
The list-to-header cover flights read as a gimmick and add per-frame
cost during navigation. Removed the heroTag plumbing end to end
(recents, search rows, discography cards, Album/Artist/Downloaded
headers, motion banners). Kept: the mini player expand hero, the
library-to-track-metadata hero, real loading headers, and the
loading crossfade.
- bottom sheets capped at 640dp via bottomSheetTheme (centered on
wide screens, no effect on phones)
- update dialog and SAF migration dialog text capped at 480/400dp
- selection action cards and service chips grow from 2 to up to 4
columns based on available width instead of stretching
Opening an extension album/artist showed a bare skeleton, so the cover
had no Hero destination and only flew on the way back. Loading states
now render the actual header (title + Hero cover in its final slot,
skeleton placeholders for the remaining rows) above the shimmering list.
SkeletonCrossfade mutes the outgoing child's heroes to avoid duplicate
tags if the user pops mid-fade.
The banner only reacted to app lifecycle, so the HEVC decoder and HLS
stream kept running behind covered routes and inactive tabs. It now
follows TickerMode: the Navigator already disables it for covered
routes, and the shell disables it for non-current tabs (which also
mutes stray animations on kept-alive pages).
Tab navigators get a HeroController (nested navigators have none, so
Heroes never flew inside tabs). Search result rows, recent-access items,
and artist discography cards tag their covers; Album/Artist/Downloaded
screens accept a heroTag and mount the matching Hero on the header
cover. Tags are scoped per list section to stay unique per page.
Slide-up route with M3 emphasized easing, live finger-tracking dismissal
on the app bar and artwork, and a shared-element Hero on the artwork so
the mini player cover grows into the full player.
UpdateChecker now derives the latest release and a releasesBehind
count from one releases-list call. When the installed version is
forceUpdateThreshold (3) or more stable releases behind, the update
dialog becomes mandatory: barrier and back-press are blocked, the
later/don't-remind actions are hidden, backing out of the installer
returns to the dialog, and the check bypasses the user's
check-for-updates opt-out. Prereleases never count toward the
threshold.
- album/playlist/library-folder/track-metadata adopt
CollapsingHeaderScrollMixin; artist/library-folder adopt
SelectionModeMixin
- HeaderCircleButton and HeaderMetaRow replace per-screen copies
in album and playlist headers; dead _tallHeader flag removed
- SelectionBottomBar gains optional subtitle labels and backs the
playlist selection bar in queue tab
- single-track convert sheet now reuses BatchConvertSheet
(confirmLabelBuilder + sourceIsLossless params) instead of a
full inline copy
- provider priority page migrated to PrioritySettingsScaffold;
shared showDiscardChangesDialog and ReorderablePriorityItem
replace per-page copies
- home tab search rows unified into one _SearchResultRowItem;
_parseTrack copies rebuilt on Track.fromBackendMap with only
the load-bearing local overrides kept; loading/error scaffold
extracted
- PlayerArtwork widget shared by now-playing and mini player
- LocalOrNetworkCoverImage dispatches file vs network cover in
one place (playlist picker, queue nav, library folder)
- drop unused widgets (AnimatedStateSwitcher, GridSkeleton,
adjacentHorizontalPageRoute, buildRemovalAnimation, SwingIcon,
BottomSheetOptionTile) and empty _buildInfoCard placeholders
- drop test-only Go wrapper methods (GetDownloadURL, MatchTrack,
CheckAvailability 7-arg, CustomSearchForItemID) and their parsers
- drop unused httputil getters/validators and hand-rolled base64
decoder in favor of encoding/base64
- remove unused riverpod_generator dev dependency
Both carried yet another copy of the collapsing detail header.
AlbumDetailHeader gains appBarTitle (selection-aware toolbar title) and a
leading override for the folder screen's close/back switch. The playlist
header adopts the album layout (bottom-anchored content, 0.85 gradient,
length-adaptive title size, scrim only when blurred) instead of its
drifted centered variant; motion-banner and pill-chip meta are preserved
through the slots.
The local/downloaded album screens had drifted copies of the album
header, selection bottom bar, disc chip, batch convert/ReplayGain trio,
and assorted small helpers. All now delegate to the shared widgets, with
the online album screen's design as the reference, and both album screens
run batch actions through the queue_tab engine via UnifiedLibraryItem
(strict-superset implementation covering both DB writebacks and SAF
paths). Also folds the remaining per-screen helper copies (cover URL,
error card, byte/clock formatting, readPositiveInt) into their shared
homes.
Intentional deltas: selection-bar strings follow queue_tab's l10n keys,
both providers reload after a conversion, and audio-analysis durations
round instead of floor.
Every settings-style page carried the same 40-line SliverAppBar block;
titles, custom leadings (discard-confirm back handlers), and action
buttons are preserved through the widget's slots.
Single homes for logic that was copy-pasted across screens: the settings
collapsing header, album detail header (online screen's design as the
reference), selection pill button + bottom-bar chrome, disc separator
chip, error card, cover URL upgrade, byte/clock formatting, duration
extraction, UnifiedLibraryItem (moved out of the queue_tab library so
other screens can import it), and the batch convert/ReplayGain engine
keyed on it.
_AlbumTrackItem and _PlaylistTrackItem were line-for-line identical
except for the leading widget and whether the artist name is clickable;
both are now parameters of a shared TrackListTile.
Extract InLibraryBadge (pasted verbatim in five screens) and
playLocalIfAvailable (duplicated in three) into shared code, and delete
SearchScreen, LibraryPlaylistsScreen, and CollapsingHeader, which are
imported nowhere in lib/.
Port of the explicit-content indicator from SpotiFLAC-Web (issue #456):
- Go: add explicit to ExtTrackMetadata (parsed generically from any
extension via explicit/is_explicit/isExplicit), TrackMetadata, and
AlbumTrackMetadata; built-in Deezer maps explicit_lyrics and
explicit_content_lyrics == 1
- Dart: add explicit to the Track model with a tolerant
parseExplicitFlag helper wired into all backend track parsers
- UI: new ExplicitBadge rendered through buildQualityBadges on album,
playlist, search, and home track rows
Use DraggableScrollableSheet for single and batch convert flows and open
convert sheets with isScrollControlled so long option lists remain usable
on smaller screens.
Let users choose FFmpeg dithering when reducing bit depth and SoXr or
SWR resampling when changing sample rate across single-track and batch
lossless conversion flows.
Raise default extension health cache to 10 minutes with a 1-minute floor
and a shorter TTL for unknown status. Mirror the TTL rules in the Go
backend and stop force-refreshing health checks from the download
service picker on every open.
Pass localized lossless conversion labels through shared helpers and
replace hardcoded capped-lossless confirmation text in single-track and
batch convert flows across metadata, queue, and album screens.
Move hardcoded strings in library settings, announcement link errors,
and unknown track title/artist fallbacks to AppLocalizations. Sync
locale-dependent fallback strings from MainShell.
- LosslessConversionQuality model with bit depth/sample rate caps,
applied only when they reduce source quality
- FFmpegService probes sample rate and appends codec-specific args
(-ar, -sample_fmt, -bits_per_raw_sample) for FLAC/ALAC/WAV/AIFF
- Batch + single-track convert sheets expose quality cap options
- Persist real converted bit depth/sample rate to history/library DB
- track_metadata: recognize and convert to WAV/AIFF targets
- convertedAudioQualityLabel reflects actual output quality
- PlaybackController with queue methods for albums/library/playlists
- Library tab play builds merged queue (downloaded + local together)
- Preview vs main player exclusivity
- Preview stops on bottom-nav tab switch
- Duration 0:00 fix, deleted track cleanup, Up Next sheet
- Animation utilities improvements
Add a MotionHeaderBanner (video_player) that plays a looping muted HLS header video with a static image fallback for artist, album, and playlist screens. The Go backend now exposes header_video, header_image, and audio_traits from extensions. Album/playlist headers show the release year and Dolby Atmos / Lossless badges inline, full date and song count in a footer, a centered square cover when no video is present, and a full-bleed video when one is.
Add a preview player provider and PreviewButton, a previewUrl field on Track (parsed from search and local redownload), preview buttons in search results, and stop the preview on navigation/tab change via per-tab navigator observers. Includes preview play/stop/unavailable localization strings.
Cache health results after each check, add a force flag to bypass the cache when the download picker opens or a service is selected, guard stale concurrent results via a per-extension request serial, and treat DNS lookup failures as indeterminate/transient.
Extract the BETA pill into a reusable BetaBadge widget in settings_group.dart and add titleTrailing support to SettingsItem. Show the badge on the Backup & Restore entry in the settings list, and reuse the shared widget in the download settings page (removing the duplicated private badge).
Resolve artist taps by id when available and fall back to name-similarity matching instead of blindly picking the first search result. Pass provider id at more call sites and map multiple artist ids positionally to their names.
- app: clear displayFeatures so bottom sheets/dialogs center on large/foldable screens
- edit metadata sheet: card sections, modern label-above inputs, elegant collapsible headers, removed title icon
- convert + batch convert: modern card-based sheets; shared BatchConvertSheet widget
- queue: keep selection toolbar hidden until modal close animation finishes
- 24-bit and In Library badges now use primary dynamic color
- artist skeleton: remove duplicate name/listeners lines, keep cover placeholder
- files settings: own filename-format controller in a StatefulWidget to fix use-after-dispose crash
FFmpeg doesn't always embed lyrics correctly to MP3 files. This adds
manual ID3v2.3 USLT (Unsynchronized Lyrics) frame writing after FFmpeg
metadata embedding to ensure lyrics are properly stored.
Implementation:
- Extract lyrics from metadata (UNSYNCEDLYRICS or LYRICS key)
- Build ID3v2.3 compliant USLT frame with UTF-16LE encoding
- Insert or replace USLT frame in existing ID3v2.3 tag
- Create new ID3v2.3 tag if file has no ID3 header
- Skip gracefully for unsupported ID3 versions or flags
Also includes minor audio analysis improvements:
- Consistent dynamic range calculation (peak - rms)
- Filter out 'unknown' and 'n/a' labels
- Add -vn -sn -dn flags for more robust stream selection
Audio Analysis Enhancements:
- Display codec name and container format
- Show decoded sample format (s16, s32, fltp, etc.)
- Add LUFS integrated loudness measurement (broadcast standard)
- Add true peak measurement (dBTP)
- Detect and count clipping samples per channel
- Estimate spectral cutoff frequency (helps detect fake upscales)
- Show per-channel statistics (Peak, RMS, DR, Clip count)
UI Improvements:
- MetricChip now handles long text with ellipsis
- Constrained max width for better layout
Cache version bumped to 4 to force rescan with new metrics.
Audio Analysis:
- Add rescan capability by bumping cache version
- Display channel layout (stereo, 5.1, etc.) and bitrate
- Use astats filter for more accurate peak/RMS measurements
- Support more formats: mp4, ac3, eac3, mka, wv, ape, tta, aif
- Only report bit depth for codecs that store it (FLAC, ALAC, WAV)
- Validate cache for SAF content:// URIs
Conversion:
- Add AAC as conversion target format
- Recognize ALAC as lossless source
- Prevent accidental deletion when source and target URI match
- Store format and bitrate in database after conversion
Utilities:
- Add audio_conversion_utils.dart for centralized conversion logic
- Add isSameContentUri() helper for safe URI comparison
