Reads REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_GAIN (album gain fallback) from FLAC/MP3/M4A tags
and converts Opus R128_TRACK_GAIN/R128_ALBUM_GAIN (Q7.8, -23 LUFS) to the
same ReplayGain dB representation on the Go side, then attenuates the
internal player's volume per track. Off by default; toggle lives under
Library > Playback. Opus header output gain is left to the decoder, which
already applies it.

Playlist tracks were read newest-first (added_at DESC, rowid DESC),
so a batch import - inserted in playlist order with one timestamp -
came back reversed, and the in-memory prepend matched that. Playlists
now use insertion order: snapshot reads ASC, single adds append, and
batch adds append in order. Existing rows were already stored in
playlist order, so old libraries display correctly without migration.
The preview-cover query follows the first visible track.
Coordinated rename of the nine store-named bridge surfaces: Go
exports (InitExtensionStoreJSON -> InitExtensionRepoJSON etc.),
method-channel strings, the Kotlin and Swift handlers, and the Dart
PlatformBridge methods. Channel strings verified 1:1 across
Dart/Kotlin/Swift; gomobile bindings match the new export names.
Android MediaStore APIs untouched. store_registry_url pref key kept
for existing users. Local Android/iOS builds need the gobackend
AAR/xcframework rebuilt; CI does this in the release workflow.
UpdateChecker now derives the latest release and a releasesBehind
count from one releases-list call. When the installed version is
forceUpdateThreshold (3) or more stable releases behind, the update
dialog becomes mandatory: barrier and back-press are blocked, the
later/don't-remind actions are hidden, backing out of the installer
returns to the dialog, and the check bypasses the user's
check-for-updates opt-out. Prereleases never count toward the
threshold.

The provider and the redownload service each hand-rolled the same
backend-map parsing and duration extraction. The factory ports the richer
provider variant (cover normalization, native-vs-spotify preferredId), so
the redownload service gains those for free. checkAvailability's 30-line
manual reconstruction becomes copyWith, which also stops silently
dropping previewUrl, totalDiscs, and deezerId.
Single homes for logic that was copy-pasted across screens: the settings
collapsing header, album detail header (online screen's design as the
reference), selection pill button + bottom-bar chrome, disc separator
chip, error card, cover URL upgrade, byte/clock formatting, duration
extraction, UnifiedLibraryItem (moved out of the queue_tab library so
other screens can import it), and the batch convert/ReplayGain engine
keyed on it.
The 1s snapshot poll re-read and re-parsed the whole worker state file
— which retains every completed item's result (history row, possibly
full synced lyrics; 1.5-5 KB each) for the entire run — then
re-serialized it across the channel and re-iterated it on the Dart UI
isolate. Late in a 1000-track batch that is megabytes parsed several
times per second, on the Android main thread.
Pollers now echo back the state_serial of the last snapshot they fully
processed; when the state has not advanced, the native side serves a
cached compact header (no items, no results, no settings) merged with
the small progress delta — steady-state polls are O(1) regardless of
batch size, and the full payload is delivered exactly once per state
transition. The channel handler also reads and parses off the main
thread now, matching its neighbours.
The captcha/OAuth flow relied on the OS routing the spotiflac://
callback back into the app. In sideload containers (LiveContainer)
the guest app's URL scheme is never registered with iOS, so after
solving the challenge the redirect went nowhere and the user could
not return to the app (LiveContainer#242/#162 — unresolved upstream).
ASWebAuthenticationSession intercepts the callback scheme in-process,
so no OS-level scheme registration is involved: the session sheet
closes itself on completion and the callback URL is fed into the same
deep-link handler the OS path uses. Verification challenges, the help
dialog's open-browser action, and extension OAuth logins all prefer
the session on iOS, falling back to url_launcher if it fails to start.
Safari's cookie store is shared so captcha providers see an
established browsing context.
- Verification challenge no longer abandons the batch: batch mates the
worker cancel would mark skipped are requeued and fenced from later
snapshot applications, and the adoption loop restarts the queue for
requeued items when the run ends
- Pause vs cancel race: a cancelled result with no pause flag set waits
up to 1.5s for the pause intent to land on the main looper before
being classified as a permanent skip
- Stale Go cancel flag: new ResetDownloadCancel export (wired through
Android and iOS bridges) drops a pre-registered cancel with no active
download; retryItem/retryAllFailed call it so the first retry of a
cancelled-before-start item no longer aborts instantly
- Reconcile-loop errors now cancel the native worker and clear the run
id before marking items failed, instead of leaving the service
downloading a batch the UI already wrote off
The two folder-access failure messages are stored on items as fixed
English sentinels so code can match on them; translate the known
sentinels at display time (error dialog and failed-row message) via new
downloadErrorSafPermissionLost / downloadErrorFolderAccessLost keys.
Also replace em dashes in recently added comments.
When a download hit a verification challenge while the app was in the
background, the browser launch was attempted immediately (blocked or
silently dropped by the OS) and the 5-minute grant timeout kept running,
so the item failed without the user ever seeing the CAPTCHA.
Wait for AppLifecycleState.resumed before opening the challenge and
before starting the grant timeout, and post a local notification asking
the user to return to the app. If the process is killed while waiting,
the persisted queue already restores the item as queued on next launch.
A persisted SAF tree grant can die silently (folder deleted or renamed,
SD card removed, app data reset, system revocation). Downloads then fail
with no recovery path beyond digging through Settings.
- Add isSafTreeAccessible bridge method: the grant must still be in the
system's persisted permission list and the tree writable
- Show a warning banner in Files & Folders when the saved SAF folder is
no longer accessible, with an inline re-select action
- In the download error dialog, replace Retry with a Re-select folder
action when the failure is a lost folder grant (Android SAF or iOS
bookmark); a successful re-pick retries the item automatically
- Share the folder-access error messages as constants so the UI can
match on them reliably
The download/library folder picker on iOS previously took the bare path
string returned by file_picker and rebuilt a URL from it to create a
security-scoped bookmark. By then the picker's access grant is gone, so
bookmark creation either failed (folder selection silently rejected) or
produced a bookmark that could not be re-opened, after which the first
download run overwrote the user's chosen folder back to app Documents.
- Add a native pickIosDirectory method channel that presents
UIDocumentPickerViewController itself and creates the bookmark inside
the delegate callback, while the security-scoped grant is active
- Use it for the download directory (settings + first-run setup) and
the local library folder pickers
- Stop overwriting the saved download directory when the bookmark fails
at queue start; fail queued items with a clear message instead
- Skip the launch-time iOS path normalizer when a bookmark exists, so
it no longer rewrites external folder paths and drops their bookmark

Add a platform bridge to finish session grants on Android and iOS with
JSON success validation, let users paste callback URLs from the
clipboard, and auto-dismiss the verification help dialog after grant.
Let users choose FFmpeg dithering when reducing bit depth and SoXr or
SWR resampling when changing sample rate across single-track and batch
lossless conversion flows.
Expose a root navigator for global dialogs, show a fallback help sheet
with copy and reopen actions when verification URLs cannot launch, and
schedule the same prompt after a timeout during pending grants.
Add debug/info logging around audio focus interruptions, becoming-noisy
events, and user pause requests to make preview playback issues easier
to diagnose.
Load queue local album tracks from album_key when available and fall back
to album/artist matching with empty album_artist handling. Thread album_key
through grouped local album rows for more reliable navigation.
Move hardcoded strings in library settings, announcement link errors,
and unknown track title/artist fallbacks to AppLocalizations. Sync
locale-dependent fallback strings from MainShell.

Add a setting that relaxes the SSRF guard so extensions and built-in network code can reach private/local/loopback targets, for users routing traffic through a local proxy or custom DNS. Disabled by default. Wired end-to-end: Go backend (SetAllowPrivateNetwork toggles isPrivateIP guard), Android/iOS platform bridge, Dart settings model/provider, and a toggle in Download settings.
Back up the store registry URL plus each installed extension (id, version, enabled flag and settings) and restore them on a new device by reinstalling from the store and re-applying settings. Secret-flagged settings (tokens/API keys) are excluded by default behind an opt-in 'Include extension credentials' toggle. Device-bound signed sessions are never backed up. Settings are merged on restore so omitted secrets are not wiped; failed reinstalls are reported.
Add a Backup & Restore page that exports app settings, download history, liked tracks, wishlist, playlists (with cover images) and favorite artists into a single JSON file, and restores them on another device. Settings restore preserves device-specific storage location (SAF tree URI, download dir). Includes EN strings and ID translations.
Add a playlist position token usable in filename templates, plumbed from the playlist screen through the download queue to the Go backend. Auto-prefix playlist downloads with the position when the template lacks the token. Includes Go filename test.
Decrypt AC-4 via the FFmpeg mov muxer with a -f mov fallback, then repair the output to a standards-compliant ISO MP4: inject the dac4 config box from the encrypted source, normalize the QuickTime container/sample entry, and write iTunes metadata (incl. cover and lyrics) natively. Codec-keyed and generic, so it applies to any extension that returns AC-4 streams. Wired through PlatformBridge/MainActivity for both SAF and local decrypt paths.
Write R128_TRACK_GAIN/R128_ALBUM_GAIN (Q7.8, ref -23 LUFS) alongside the existing REPLAYGAIN_* tags for .opus files so spec-compliant Opus players (RFC 7845) apply gain. Covers per-track and album embed during download (incl. SAF) and standalone re-scan.
FFmpeg's MP4 muxer drops ISRC and label, so write them as iTunes freeform atoms natively after every M4A embed pass. The metadata screen now reads all edited fields from the file on load (file is the source of truth), fixing edited values reverting to stale cached values after reopening.
- iOS: begin/end UIBackgroundTask while a download queue is active so in-flight downloads survive backgrounding for the limited window iOS allows
- extensions: serialize install/upgrade/remove in the Go manager (mutationMu) and in the Dart store provider to stop concurrent goja VM teardown/reload from hard-crashing the app

WAV/AIFF: library scan, quality probe, native tag read/write via embedded ID3 chunk (RIFF id3 / AIFF ID3), cover art, ReadFileMetadata, ExtractLyrics, and FLAC<->WAV/AIFF conversion (PCM, bit-depth preserved via ffprobe). Treat WAV/AIFF as lossless across all convert sheets (no bitrate picker, Lossless labels) via isLosslessConversionTarget. Native MIME maps for SAF. Redesign the track metadata three-dot menu to a settings-style grouped card with a single divider above Share.
LyricsPlus (KPOE): word-by-word synced lyrics with multi-server failover, converted to enhanced LRC. ReplayGain: standalone EBU R128 (re)scan writing REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_* tags via native writers or FFmpeg, with batch action in queue/album screens and SAF support.

FFmpeg doesn't always embed lyrics correctly to MP3 files. This adds
manual ID3v2.3 USLT (Unsynchronized Lyrics) frame writing after FFmpeg
metadata embedding to ensure lyrics are properly stored.
Implementation:
- Extract lyrics from metadata (UNSYNCEDLYRICS or LYRICS key)
- Build ID3v2.3 compliant USLT frame with UTF-16LE encoding
- Insert or replace USLT frame in existing ID3v2.3 tag
- Create new ID3v2.3 tag if file has no ID3 header
- Skip gracefully for unsupported ID3 versions or flags

- Consistent dynamic range calculation (peak - rms)
- Filter out 'unknown' and 'n/a' labels
