fix: gstack-docs-candidate --help works; docs gate red lines name the denying tool failure
PR run 37239016858 ship-docsync-completion: the parent ran 'gstack-docs-candidate --help' (the helper's usage error points at --help, which failed). That undeclared command made docsToolFailures non-empty, which denied the atomic-replacement proof of the child's legitimate native Edit, so the red line blamed the Edit's temp file. A replay of the capture proves the atomic replace once --help is declared. - the helper prints its usage for --help/-h and exits 0 - the fixture interface and command grammar admit the helper's bare --help - the atomic-proof denial names its check and the tool failures behind it (deny labels renumbered to their lines) - replay with negative controls (undeclared command, temp left behind, renamed elsewhere); diagnostic rerun of ship-docsync-completion passed

- `bun run scripts/test-paid-shards.ts --case <id>` selects cases registered in a loop and whole-file cases such as plan-mode-no-op; it used to select nothing.
|

- The plan-review floor test approves its own plan-file edit when the diff preview soft-wraps unchanged lines.

- The /plan-ceo-review approach-menu eval no longer asks for "verbatim ... exact prose" output, which tripped the provider's output-extraction refusal.
|

- `gstack-docs-candidate --help` prints its usage and exits 0; its usage error pointed at a `--help` that failed. The docs gate fixtures declare it, and an "atomic replacement unproven" line now names the check and the tool failure that denied it.

- The prosons neutral-posture check no longer reads "a coverage call, not a taste call" as the neutral dodge.

"prompt": "Before anything else, Read <HOME>/fixture-interface.md in full and obey it for the whole session. It is the closed command interface for this isolated fixture: Bash may run only the literal commands it lists (pwd, ls, cat, stat, sha256sum, the listed Git read subcommands run directly without -C/-c/cd/wrappers, the exact document-release gstack-skill-start and gstack-skill-end commands shown there, and the gstack-docs-candidate snapshot/compare forms). No shell composition, pipes, redirects, variables, heredocs, scripts or other binaries. Read skill and section files with the Read tool. Use Edit only on permitted authored docs inside the repository. Working directory is already <HOME>/repo. Platform: local/git-native. Base: main (base SHA below). Do not run shared Step 0 platform probing (no git remote, no gh/glab, no symbolic-ref probes); the platform and base are supplied. Do not run gstack-context-recovery, gstack-learnings-log, gstack-question-log, gstack-question-preference, gstack-decision-log, gstack-version-bump, codex or any other helper; the fixture interface forbids them and they are not needed. Do not touch the repository's .qa-state/ directory (it is the fixture owner's observer probe). No effects outside <HOME>.\n\nExecute /document-release as a SPAWNED ship-owned subagent. Read `<HOME>/.claude/skills/gstack/document-release/SKILL.md` and its sections (`sections/audit-scope.md` and `sections/release-body.md` in the same directory). Branch: `feature/docs`, base: `c62a021261b7d77c8dbeae354fe66d5932bf7bec`. Candidate: `<HOME>/ship-docs-20261004-7f3a.json`. Audit id: `ship-docs-20261004-7f3a`. Mode: `edit`.\n\nStart the skill lifecycle with exactly this single-line Bash call (the spawned prefix goes directly on the helper invocation; no parent PID, no variables, no redirects):\nGSTACK_SESSION_KIND=spawned <HOME>/.claude/skills/gstack/bin/gstack-skill-start --skill document-release --model claude\nReport its actual `SESSION_KIND: spawned` echo, never prompt/file claims. Note the echoed SESSION_ID and TEL_START values. Missing marker/inputs/assets blocks immediately. If start fails or SESSION_KIND is not spawned, report the blocker and return the blocked JSON.\n\nAudit committed, staged, unstaged and selected new content, including nested docs/authored templates. Follow audit-scope.md's discovery/permissions; read full files before editing. Execute only Steps 1\u20134 and 6; return doc health and completion. The candidate JSON lists the selected paths (app.ts, README.md, options.ts), docs paths and hashes; Read it. For Step 1 use the supplied base SHA directly as <diff-base> (do not compute it with shell variables); use `git diff <base> HEAD --stat`, `git log <base>..HEAD --oneline`, `git diff <base> HEAD --name-only`, `git diff --cached`, `git diff`, and cat/Read for new files.\n\nOnly audit/edit permitted docs (conservative non-destructive): no Git mutation, PR edits, VERSION/package/lock/section-manifest changes, CHANGELOG or TODOS mutation, generation or other writers. `read-only` forbids source/doc edits. Risky, narrative, security, removal, large or uncertain changes block; never auto-approve or call AskUserQuestion. Preserve user content, including every line marked KEEP THIS EXACTLY and the untracked personal-note.txt, which is unrelated user content outside the audit selection.\n\nWhen the audit is complete, end the lifecycle with exactly one single-line Bash call of this form, substituting the real SESSION_ID and TEL_START values echoed by your own start call and OUTCOME as success, error, abort or unknown to match the real outcome (never execute placeholders):\n<HOME>/.claude/skills/gstack/bin/gstack-skill-end --skill document-release --outcome OUTCOME --session-id SESSION_ID_VALUE --tel-start TEL_START_VALUE --used-browse no\nReport the end result honestly; do not suppress an error.\n\nReturn one JSON object on the LAST nonempty line, without fences or trailing prose:\n- `schema_version`: integer 1; `audit_id`: the exact supplied string.\n- `status`: updated/current/blocked.\n- `files_updated`, `files_reviewed`, `blockers`, `decisions`: string arrays. Paths are unique repo-relative files, not globs.\n- `documentation_section`: nonempty Markdown with scope, result and debt, without a ## Documentation heading. No extra or legacy fields.\n\nCompleted audits without blockers are `updated` if edited, otherwise `current`; describe scope even without docs. Failed/incomplete audits are `blocked`, with reasons/partial edits. Read-only corrections block. Metadata observations go only in decisions. Before the JSON line, also print the actual STATUS lines echoed by gstack-skill-start (SESSION_KIND, SESSION_ID, TEL_START) and the gstack-skill-end result so the parent can verify them.",

The working directory for parent and child Bash calls is already ${fixture.repo}. Run Git reads directly, for example: git status, git diff --cached, git merge-base main HEAD, git rev-parse HEAD. Do not use Git global options such as -C, -c, --git-dir or --work-tree, and do not prepend cd or another shell wrapper. The literal git subcommand must immediately follow git; an absolute owned repository path does not make git -C an allowed command.
