On eval-slices (9), qa-functional-webhook-fix failed mid-run with 100+
'directory watch lost: .git/objects/..' entries and forbidden writes to
.git/info/refs and .git/objects/pack. That is git's detached auto
maintenance repacking the fixture under the write observer. This applies the
same gc.auto=0 / maintenance.auto=false config qa-callers-fixture uses.
